ECTA Trail Tags:
Each year, a new color and dated Trail “tag” is issued
to members to display on their horse’s saddle or bridle or
on their hat or jacket if they are not riders. These tags indicate
to Landowners and others, that you are a current member of the ECTA,
and are familiar with rules for the use of their land. Tags must be displayed at all times.
ECTA members who wish to use Appleton Farms trails must follow the Trustees of Reservations rules. Equestrians are welcome to ride on the Appleton Farms beautiful trails, but are REQUIRED to join TTOR and to enroll in the Green Horses program.
Likewise, Dog walkers are required to enroll in the Green Dogs program. ECTA hikers and cross country skiers are encouraged to join TTOR or pay a use fee.
All horses are required to carry current ECTA and Trustees of Reservations ("TTOR") Green Horses tags to ride through Appleton Farms. TTOR Green Horses tags are available to all current TTOR members. Please use the Green Horses Application to register for your TTOR Green Horses tag. You can also use this form to join or renew TTOR. Please note, this form, when completed, is sent directly to TTOR (not ECTA).
Appleton Farms is a North Shore treasure. Please help us keep this special place open to horses by respecting the TTOR Green Horses rules.
