Busy this weekend? Join us next Saturday at the19th Annual Equine Expo where you can stock up on anything and everything you and your horse desire! Not an equestrian? Come out andexplore the trails in West Newbury on Sunday the 27th amidst beautiful, bold magnolias and dainty spring ephemerals. In May, you can look forward to ourIpswich River Tree Walk and our Willowdale Mountain Bike Ride – a big hit last year!
All these trail activities should be getting you excited about our biggest spring event – our 4th Annual ECTAthlon!! On June 7th, teams will run, bike, ride and paddle their way across trails in Ipswich and Hamilton to the finish line at EBSCO Publishing. This is a fantastic event that brings our diverse trail users together for a fun and friendly competition. Theearly registration discount ends April 30th…sign your team up now!!
Annual Meeting: Trails for All
Thank you to all of our members and supporters who joined us our Spring Annual Meeting on April 1st! Keynote speaker Chaz Southard enlightened our guests with a presentation on Accessible Trails and their benefits for all trail users. The “Heart Healthy” trail at Bradley Palmer State Park was highlighted as an exemplary local trail that is both universally accessible and provides an interesting and diverse trail experience. The ECTA team followed with a recap of our successes last year and an outline of our ambitious goals for 2014!
We are still accepting donations for the 19th Annual Equine Expo, to be held on Saturday, April 26th. Horse clothing, tack and equipment, barn supplies, riding apparel, equestrian-themed houseware items, gift certificates, artwork, collectibles – any condition! You drop it off or we pick it up. We could also use a few more volunteers – morning or afternoon shift!
On June 21st, join us at Groton House Farm for theECTA Summer Solstice Festival & Land Rover Driving Adventure, sponsored by Land Rover of Peabody. Kick off the summer in style with yummy food, cool beverages and live music under the tents. Keep posted for more information on this spectacular event!
