TrifECTA Trail Challenge

Our 2020 TrifECTA Trail Challenge is a wrap!

In June, ECTA created an 8-week trail challenge to promote our newly digital maps; one that would fit this unusual time, would encourage exploration, the discovery of new trails, and be FUN. We had 3 separate challenges – log 50 miles for walkers and runners, 100 miles for bikers and equestrians and a family exploration challenge. We �had over 50 participants of all ages and trail user types, some of whom told us they’ve done anything like this before. No individual or family achieved all 3 challenges for TrifECTA, but we had lots of single challenge finishers. Some logged many miles over the challenge goal. Many commented that they discovered new trails and trail routes. �Their beautiful photos below captured some of the diverse landscapes and abundant nature here in Essex County. �
