On Saturday, June 5, at Bradley Palmer State Park, the Essex County Trail Association is hosting its National Trails Day event. Building on last years very successful day, the event will start with an early morning bird walk led by Jim Berry, a guided horse ride through Bradley Palmer, and working with Mass DCR, a volunteer trail repair effort on some trails damaged by the winter storms. The day will include the return of the very popular “Snakes of New England and the World†by the Cape Ann Vernal Pond Team, music by Daisy Nell and Captain Stan, food catered by Essex’s The Farm Bar and Grille, there will be a kids bike slalom course, haywagon rides, and a raffle for a mountain bike donated by REI.
