ECTA is an incredibly fortunate organization that has a passionate group of volunteers, members, local businesses, foundations and landowners that make what we do possible. As we work hard to finish up 2010 as a great success for ECTA in so many ways, we want to take the opportunity to thank all of you who have been involved in this success. We have put on or been involved in over 20 events, worked with our great landowners, both public and private to help fix trails and secure trail easements, partnered with a superb group of conservation organizations that help keep our quality of life as high as it is, and been very fortunate to work with local businesses who understand the importance of what we do for the community.
Thank you to our:
Volunteers: Too many to name – over 100 this year – an incredibly dedicated group who help us in so many ways from shovelling snow at the Sled Dog races to organizing music and trail walks.
Membership: our membership has exceeded 800 for the first time ever. Welcome to our new members and thank you to those who have been with us all along.
Local Businesses, Corporate Sponsorships and Foundation giving: Our 2010 Leadership Sponsors are Berry and CO. and EBSCO. Additional Support has come from Institution For Savings, J. Barrett and Co., REI (recently completed Boardwalk in Willowdale), Gil’s Athletic Club, Manchester Athletic Club, Foster, Dykema and Cabot, Ipswich Ale and Brewery, Community Package Store of Hamilton, First National Bank of Ipswich, Kristal Pooler and Associates, New England Running Co., Coastal Greengrocer, New England Biolabs, New England Biolabs Foundation, Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation, Bruce J. Anderson Trust, En Trust Fund, and Fields Pond Foundation.
These businesses have supported ECTA by offering discounts to ECTA members: The Farm Bar and Grille, Ipswich Inn, New England Running Co., Pinnacle Bikes, Wenham Sports Stop, Zumis Coffee Shop, First Light Anglers, Greenhead Toys and True North Gallery.
Conservation Partners: Trust for Public Land, Essex County Greenbelt Association, The Town of Ipswich, Mass DCR and Mass Department of Agriculture, Hamilton Wenham Open Lands Trust, Ipswich River Watershed Association
And most importantly, the landowners whose trails make up the critical linkages in the 450 miles of trails in our 6 towns. Without these trails, the fabric of our system would unravel. Many thanks to all of you for your continued generosity.
