ECTA protects and preserves approximately 450 miles of trails in six towns in Essex County. We work with landowners and our team of trail stewards to prioritize projects and address concerns. We organize volunteer trail work days, build boardwalks, install drainage systems, utilize beaver “deceivers,” and mow fields and trails. ECTA also negotiates trail easements, and works with local town conservation commissions to streamline the trail repair process.
The support that we receive from our members, donors, and sponsors is critical. Our ability to improve trail quality and access is limited only by our resources.
