Dear ECTA Supporters, With spring in the air, we have a lot of events planned in the next few weeks. Be sure to mark your calendars and join us!
Equine Expo this Saturday
Join us for the 18th Annual Equine Expo & Paraphernalia Sale from 9am – 3pm on Saturday, April 27th at the Topsfield Fairgrounds Arena Building in Topsfield. A large marketplace of businesses, groups and individuals will be selling many types of items (new and used) as well as services for the horse and rider/driver. Live demonstrations all day!
Join ECTA Trail Stewards Deb Hamilton and Ellen Alden on an early Spring exploration of the Riverbend Conservation Area, West Newbury from 10-11:30 AM. Park at the Mill Pond Parking Lot, then we’ll cross Main Street to follow the Indian River to ancient dam ruins and the site of a proposed CPA funded $40,000 boardwalk/bridge to cross into “Riverbend West”, a lovely, rolling wooded spot with glacial erratics, big trees and spring ephemerals.
The Discover Hamilton Trail was created in the 1990s as an 8-mile loop that would highlight the significant open spaces and natural features of Hamilton. ECTA has been working with the Town of Hamilton and private landowners over the course of the last year to re-route the starting location and portions of the trail to create a safer and more welcoming experience. Join us for a grand re-opening celebration and trail walk at 9am on May 18th.
