The Manchester-Essex Conservation Trust invites you to help kick-off it’s 50th Anniversary with a Big Walk Through the Wilderness Conservation Area – roughly 3,000 acres of natural land in Manchester and Essex. A jamboree of family fun, refreshments and entertainment awaits walkers at the town boundary.
Walk from Essex or Manchester and meet at the border for entertainment, including music provided by guitarist Roger Pierce, a nature’s treasure hunt for the children, and refreshments for all. Fun for the whole family.
Park at Cedar Swamp, off upper School Street in Manchester, or at the junction of Southern Avenue, Andrews Street and Apple Street in Essex. Shuttles will be running to get you to the trailhead in Essex, and to return you to your vehicle if you choose to walk to the end of the Old Road.
Please e-mail CONSERVE@mect.org or call 978-890-7153 if you have questions.
